Joe Liow - Lead Pastor of CityLife Church - Manningham

Jow Liow Born in Malaysia, Joe accepted Jesus Christ as a teen and became a fervent and active member of his local church. In 1970, during a powerful move of the Holy Spirit, he was part of a team that pioneered a spearhead local church which rapidly grew in strength.

Joe migrated to Australia in 1983 and joined the growing congregation of Waverley Christian Fellowship (now CityLife Church). It was during these years that many overseas students came into the church, and Joe became an integral part of a group who ministered in facilitating the assimilation of overseas families and students into the church.

Joe worked in IT and communications while continuing ministry in a voluntary capacity as a small group leader. In 1996 Joe accepted the position of New People’s Pastor with CityLife and since then has functioned as Network Pastor and more recently as Lead Pastor CityLife, Manningham.

Joe has a passion to see people grow into the potential that God has before them. Together with his wife, Shof, and the family, Joe seeks to serve and to see others raised up in their God given gifts and abilities. His pastoral gift is evident in his love of people and willingness to facilitate their Christian development.
